The Indopacific Tropical Sand Goby (Favonigobius reichei), often simply called "tropical sand goby" (all "sand gobies" are tropical), is a fish species in the family Gobiidae. Formerly, it was separated in Papillogobius with the Blackthroat Goby (F. melanobranchus).

It is found in Mozambique, South Africa, and Tanzania. This species is becoming rare due to habitat destruction.
